Adyen and BT Group Now Offers Tap-To-Pay on iPhones for SMEs

BT Group has made its bold new joint venture public. Warsaw’s digital and startup incubation arm has announced a partnership with Adyen, a global financial technology platform, to launch a new offering geared towards small businesses. As such, we are targeting small business clients with iPhone users who can take contactless in-person payments.

Adyen Working On Refund Process and Payment History Tracking

Tap to Pay on iPhone revolutionizes a small business’s payment procedure by eliminating the need to issue reading cards or purchase additional hardware. Nowadays, traders can process payments using physical debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallet systems.

The BT Tap to Pay app, designed with the needs of small businesses, mobile workers, and sole traders in the UK in mind, focuses on what SMEs truly desire. The app allows for social distancing payments, making in-person contactless payments a breeze. It also offers enhanced security and privacy features, simplified payment history tracking, and a troubleshooting process, all aimed at making your journey smoother and more convenient.

Tom Guy, Managing Director at BT Group, remarked, “Through our partnership with Adyen, we are simplifying the payment process for UK small businesses. We offer a fast and straightforward payment method to their customers, eliminating the need for additional touchpoints. With our supported mobile network, EE, customers can enjoy a stress-free payment process. With iPhone Tap to Pay and BT Tap to Pay, business owners can now receive fast and hassle-free payments without the need for additional devices. All that’s required is an iPhone and the BT Tap to Pay app.

This Collaboration Will Improve Contactless Payment

This partnership uses EE’s powerful network of connections and Adyen’s worldwide innovative mobile payment solutions to enable customers to access contactless payment. Also, companies subscribed to the service will gain the most from the transaction rate of 1.4% of customer payments processed by BT Group, which is the most equal.

Apple Tap to Pay services on iPhones increase security as they use iPhones’ security features to secure businesses and customer information. Apple ensures that card numbers or transaction details are not kept on the device or the servers to prevent user information leaks.

“Nicole Olbe, the Managing Director of UK at Adyen, said, “Tap to Pay on iPhone and the BT Pay app offer a secure and fast way of checking out while also promoting mobility, a feature that is also significant for customers who want to have a convenient, secure way of payment.” This innovation makes in-person payment easy and also reduces the challenges small businesses have with payment hardware.
