Bybit Expands Its Digital Asset Offerings in Argentina

Bybit has debuted in the Argentinian market by registration as a VASP and card operator, opening a new Latin American market to the Asian crypto platform. This step places Bybit out in the front in terms of capabilities in the provision of digital asset services in Argentina.

The establishment of the VASP registry by Argentina is a development in the cryptocurrency sector regulation. Registration confirms Bybit’s determination to adhere to local legislation and reassure its customers about the services’ security.

Argentina Is All Set To Leverage Digital Assets from Bybit

As a VASP and a card issuer, Bybit can now provide several crypto services to the users of the platform located in Argentina. This progress is made at a time when Argentina faces economic issues and has recently approved a company to use cryptocurrency as the registered capital.

The approval from the Argentine General Inspectorate of Justice demonstrates the country’s interest in adapting to digital assets.

The co-Founder of Bybit and the CEO addressed this historic achievement by saying “This is a memorable advancement for Bybit to make more significant strides towards the mission of providing an inclusive and secure digital asset service to users across the globe as well as demonstrate Bybit’s commitment to fighting financial crimes. Through the payment and value transfer of blockchain technology, Bybit has vowed to support Argentina’s growth and help its population by empowering them with payment options.

Argentine Government Take on It

The Argentine government has set up a registry for Virtual Asset Service Providers, making it mandatory for cryptocurrency exchanges and related firms to register. This action comes after recent shifts during President Javier Milei’s tenure, who previously endorsed cryptocurrencies but is now receiving backlash.

The updated regulations, involving amendments to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing legislation, were put into effect on March 14 following approval by the Argentine Senate, according to The Finance Line.

Local Regulations And Adherence

Bybit has entered the Argentinian market to enrich the country’s financial sector by offering accessible and secure digital asset solutions. The company focuses on safeguarding user assets through protective measures for funds and data, alongside complying with Argentina’s regulations on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing.

Through its extensive infrastructure and liquidity, Bybit grants Argentinian users access to diverse digital assets and cryptocurrency-backed payment cards to meet their requirements.
